North Bay Neighborhood, Chanhassen Minnesota

North Bay is a neighborhood featuring 80 detached town homes located in Chanhassen, Minnesota nestled between Bear Path Golf Community, Hwy 212 and Lake Riley. This community is made up of both single-level and two-story detached town homes. The majority of the homes were built between 1997 and 1998, and the prices range from the high 100’s to the low 300’s.

One of the best features of North Bay is that the association owns and maintains 200’ feet of Lake Riley lakeshore (Lake Riley is a recreational lake). North Bay is the only detached town home community in Chanhassen that has an association maintained beach for its residents. In addition to the lakeshore, there are docks, fire pits, picnic benches and a small sandy beach.

The association fee in this community varies, but to the best of my knowledge it is around $137 a month which includes outside maintenance, sanitation, shared amenities, lawn and snow care.

Springfield Single Family Home Community, Chanhassen Minnesota

Tucked away in Chanhassen near Lake Riley, located just 20 miles southwest of Minneapolis and you will find the vibrant community of Springfield. This is a community where you will find children outside playing and residents mingling with their neighbors, according to the association website.

Springfield is made up of approximately 150 single family homes, built between the years of 1998 and 2001. The community features mostly two-story homes that are actively selling between $350,000 and $550,000.

The city of Chanhassen has 11 lakes and over 55 miles of multipurpose trail systems with easy access points near Springfield. If you enjoy biking, you could bike all the way into Minneapolis from Chanhassen. Springfield also has many amenities in the community such as: a pool, playground, basketball court, walking paths and open green space.

Lakeside Townhomes, Chanhassen Minnesota

If you are looking for easy lakeside living without the responsibility of yearly maintenance this might be the neighborhood for you. It is personally one of my favorites because of its location, beautiful shoreline and quiet setting.
Lakeside in Chanhassen is nestled between the shores of Lake Riley and Bear Path Golf and Country Club. The community is designed for maintenance free living with a spectacular setting. The town home and condo community features a club house with a fitness facility, pool area and gathering room. The association also owns a 1300 sq. ft. of private beach on the shores of Lake Riley where there are pontoons and docks for resident enjoyment. Lastly, there are miles of running/walking/biking trails that connect to the community.
The builders in Lakeside of Chanhassen are Charles Cudd and Wooddale Homes. The real estate developer of this beautiful community is Sienna Corporation. Town homes start in the $550,000’s.

Hartford Commons Townhomes, Eden Prairie Minnesota

Hartford Commons is one of Eden Prairie’s newest town home developments located directly east of the Eden Prairie Mall, with quick access to Interstate 494. Hartford Commons consists of over 300 town homes and condos ranging from the low 200’s to the high 300’s. The builder and developer, David Bernard sold its last town home in 2007.

Hartford Commons is a connected community. It features sidewalks, trails and cobblestone brick streets. You will also find lush landscaping, a community gazebo, a large fountain and playground equipment.

Residents can walk to many close by conveniences such as Target (connected to the Eden Prairie mall), Cub, Hollywood Video, Lifetime Fitness, the Hennepin County Library and a variety of great restaurants such as Redstone, Champs, Maggio’s, Wildfire, Old Chicago, Jake’s and many others. There are also running and biking trails close by, some connecting to trails that can take you all the way into Minneapolis.
